Iowa Supreme Court Adopts New Scope of Liability [2009-11-14]

In Thompson v. Kaczinski & Lockwood, the Iowa Supreme Court reviewed Iowa’s negligence standards with a detailed discussion of negligence, causation, and foreseeability, and adopted the Restatement (Third) of Torts’ scope of liability and applying the risk standard and clarifying causation.
