Supreme Court Ruling on Bankruptcy Attorneys [2010-03-09]
In Milavetz, Gallop & Milavetz v. U.S., the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Bankruptcy attorneys are debt relief agencies, that attorneys must include the disclosure requirements in advertising, and that advising debtors to incur more debt prior to bankruptcy is prohibited UNLESS for a valid purpose.
